Course Description

This course, “Real Estate as an Investment Strategy: Commercial Properties – Fundamentals” allows a salesperson to get a perspective of themes associated with investing in commercial properties. A salesperson would be expected to guide and advise their client s appropriately during a commercial transaction. The course is composed of six modules. The modules explore a variety of topics, such as characteristics of an investment property through the perspectives of both a user and an investor, the different types of leasing arrangements and the fundamentals of financing commercial properties, mortgage calculations, property evaluation methods, and operations cash flow fundamentals.   Successful completion of this course is a prerequisite to registering for Real Estate as an Investment Strategy: Commercial Properties - Advanced.

Courses are delivered in Blackboard, Humber's learning management system (LMS). To login to Blackboard:
